Whether you prefer your portraits to be in a studio or at an outdoor location, we can set up professional lighting equipment so that your headshots turn out perfectly, no matter where the sun is (even if it’s hiding behind a cloud!)
Each type of setup creates a very different message for potential clients. During our consultation call, we will discuss your target client and choose the environment that is most likely to speak to your client base in a positive way. For instance, we would not necessarily want a casual outdoor look if your target market is typically looking to spend several million on their new home, such as in Isleworth of Windermere, Florida. However, we WOULD want to choose outdoors if your market prefers a friendly, more relational approach when working with a real estate agent.
We offer white, black, dark gray, ivory, blue, tan, or environmental backgrounds for realtors, depending on their needs. Should a Realtor have headshots taken on a White Backdrop?
For Real Estate Professionals, a headshot on a white background is a great choice for agents, brokers, sales associates, and teams who need a classic, timeless set of headshots. Bright White vs. Soft White Photography Backdrops
Both Bright White and Soft White are good choices for headshots. Each style communicates a slightly different message to your clients.
The Bright White Headshot Backdrop choice is more modern, punchy, crisp, and strong. This type of lighting works wonders when you are really trying to stand out and make a powerful image with your brand. The youthful, modern look that we can get with the bold lighting works especially well in Orlando, as it is similar to what actors might use, though they may opt for an outdoor look. This lighting and backdrop show others that you are still in the game, relevant, and up-to-date with current trends. We have found that this look speaks most to a younger or middle-aged audience.
We often recommend going with a close crop to draw in your client and make your image command attention. These photos can be bright and friendly, or also work well with a slightly more serious look. Which headshot look appeals most to you?
What About Black and Dark Gray Backgrounds for Headshots?
Headshots on Black or Dark Gray are a wonderful way to add some gravitas to your headshots. These sessions are designed for a full company with between 10 - 60 team members. Often booked for Mortgage Brokers, Real Estate Offices, Lenders, and Real Estate Teams, these sessions are fun, express sessions, where each team member received a 5-minute photo shoot. Each person will receive one final image with several headshot options to choose from. This is the best choice for full companies that need a uniform headshot for all employees.
You get to choose a background that meets your company brand, style, and personality.
Adjustable Team Headshots for Realtors
If you have 2-10 team members and would like your Real Estate Team photographed together, we can do that, too! We recommend a home environment for smaller teams (up to 5), or an in-studio Adjustable Team Portrait Session.
Adjustable Team Portrait Sessions allow your team to make changes and not have to have everyone back in the studio to re-shoot.
We take each team member’s headshots individually and then composite them together in Photoshop. This is a very popular option for teams that feel they may experience additions (or otherwise) to their group. We always include a full body shot and a headshot in these popular sessions.
